Abstract
Attempts were made to isolate fluorooxogermanates, whose formation in nitrate melts was indicated potentiometrically. The stability of fluorooxogermanates in nitrate melts depends on the melt temperature and on the effect of the cation. In addition to the already known compound, K4[Ge2F10O], a new compound, Na2[GeF4O], was also obtained from nitrate melts. In addition, conditions were found for the formation of both the tetragonal and of the hexagonal modification of GeO2 in nitrate melts.
