Abstract
Hydrogenation of alkenes and cycloalkenes catalyzed by a reduced bis(cyclopentadienyl)dichlorotitanium(IV) complex and by its immobilized analogue coordinately bound to silica has been studied. With both catalytic systems, the rate constants and reaction orders to individual components were determined in 10-60 °C temperature region and at a pressure of 0.1 MPa and mechanism of the reaction has been proposed. Kinetic measurements and EPR spectra proved that the immobilized catalysts remain firmly bound to the support during whole catalytic cycle, which made their reuse possible.
