Abstract
The atom or element content of a large structural file is considered through relations between the occurrences of the elements and their geometric distribution obtained by correspondence analysis over the Mendeleev periodic table, which is considered as a rectangular (7 x 32) contingency table. The potential of various geometric tools is explored with different CAS files.
