Abstract
Lysine vasopressin with tyrosine and phenylalanine interchanged was resynthesized in an attempt to explain recent results of biological testing of analogs modified in position 3. However, negligible activities found by Boissonnas and Guttmann in 1960 were only confirmed. The second analog, [Leu7,Pro8]dCOT-1, proved the positive influence of deamino and carba modifications on the biological activity of neurohypophyseal hormones. This analog was found to be very selective in its oxytocin-like activity.
