Abstract
The importance of pyrido compounds as analgesic, antiinflammatory and central nervous system depressing agents together with the diverse biological activities which have been encountered in compounds containing quinqzoline moiety led us to the synthesis of 2-cyano-1,6-dioxo-3-methylpyrido[1,2-a][3,2]benzoxazine to be used as a starting material for pyridoquinazoline derivatives V - IX.
