Abstract
The chemistry of pentaborane(9) (B5H9) is reviewed on work reported since 1981. All aspects of its synthesis, reactivity, NMR spectroscopy as well as most its important derivatives including metallaboranes and linked B5 cages are presented and discussed. A review with 60 references.
Keywords: Boranes; Pentaboranes; Metallaboranes; Boron clusters; NMR spectroscopy.
