Abstract
Crystal and molecular structure of adducts C4H8O2·SO3 and C4H8O2·2SO3 were determined by X-ray structure analysis and Raman spectroscopy. Both compounds crystallize from excess of 1,4-dioxane as solvate C4H8O2·SO3·C4H8O2, which was characterized by the same methods. Conditions for preparation of all the three compounds in high purity and good yields were optimized. Solvates C4H8O2·H2SO4 and C4H8O2·H2S2O7 were identified among products of self-decomposition of C4H8O2·SO3 and C4H8O2·2SO3 in tetrachloromethane solution, respectively.
